REYN

'SEED: Social and Emotional Learning and Development' is a European project designed to both show the importance of the social and emotional well-being for children’s development and learning, and to support the professional development of practitioners working with children from 2,5 to 6 years of age in the area of social and emotional well-being.
Project activities included screening the social and emotional well-being of 5-year-old children in kindergartens in Croatia, Hungary, Latvia, Norway, and the Netherlands, as well as organising kindergarten teachers meetings intended for group reflections by using the Wanda method. The aim of these group meetings is the improvement of the learning process in kindergartens with special attention to the socio-emotional development of children.
Duration: November 2017 - December 2019
More information can be found on the project's web page.
MATERIALS

‘SEED: Social and Emotional Education and Development’ is a European project designed to draw attention to the importance of social and emotional wellbeing for children’s learning and development, and support the continuing professional development of practitioners working with 2.5 to 6-year-olds in this area.

These Summary Guidelines, titled SEEDs of Change, are the outcome of the second part of the SEED project. We piloted a group reflection pathway, called WANDA with 80 ECEC practitioners with the aim to help them to deal with daily challenges in their practice so they could better support the socio-emotional well-being of children in their care.
