EDUCATION FOR GENDER SENSITIVE SOCIO-EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE

This project supports competence transfer between partner organisations to develop new capacities, competences and resources in Croatia for supporting educational practitioners and leaders working with small children to better support their socio- emotional resilience for gender equality, empowerment of girls and prevention of gender-based violence.

Partner organisations, French and Croatian professional development providers in early child care and education, will achieve this through a series of peer learning activates in a professional learning community dedicated to transfer of competence and sharing experiences and resources. Ensamble pour le petite enfance has already deigned and implemented their programme for ECEC teachers based on comprehensive interdisciplinary research children socio-emotional development (with universities in France and Quebec) and are now eager to disseminate to other similar training organisations. Based on these learning opportunities, OASBS will develop it's own training module adopted from resources and provide a training programme for professionals so that they can empower children in healthy and gender sensitive socio-emotional development. The project also has an objective to raise awareness, knowledge and skills about gender aspect of socio-emotional resilience of children and to counter gender based and other forms of violence by acting in early childhood.
